Meet the Modish Staff: Chloe
Part of what we love about our store is the people who help make it run smoothly! Every few weeks, we’re going to be introducing you to those fierce women who help Modish run without a hitch. This week, we are pleased to introduce you to Chloe, one of our newest staff members!
A Decorah native, Chloe is a proud grad of Luther College! Some of her previous positions include working as a paraprofessional in the Twin Cities with ninth graders, working at Mayo Clinic and as a summer camp counselor for children with physical and intellectual disabilities. We wanted to get to know Chloe a little better so we asked her a few questions! Here’s what we said.
1. What do you love most about working at Modish?
I love getting to style people! Sometimes, people will come in solo when they’re shopping, and I love getting to help them pick out outfits to fit what they are looking for. Also, I love the clothes here! We’re constantly bringing in new styles, and it’s pretty amazing!
2. Best Modish memory to date?
Awhile back, I had a young lady come into the store who was having a really hard time picking out items to wear. She was a little bit more quiet by nature, but as we started fitting her in new clothes, she became more and more confident. By the end, she was even picking out her own items to try! It was amazing to watch her blossom over the course of a short time!
3. Outside of Modish, what are your favorite things to do?
I like to spend time with family and friends. My family and I like to go boating on weekends, so that’s always a great time. In addition, my fiancé and I just bought a house, so we’re working on getting it set up. I also like attending concerts!
4. Modish does a lot of the community. What do you love most about the community of Decorah?
I love how stores support each other, and boost one another. In addition, I’m constantly amazed with how much you can do here in Decorah. When I was younger, I got sick of it, but I’m so glad that I came home.
5. What’s your favorite item in the store?
That’s a hard one but I absolutely love the Kona pants. They’re super fun and figure flattering. They hit all the right areas.
6. What are some of your favorite style tips that you can share?
- You can make a basic tee fashionable by tying it.
- Don’t be afraid to try palazzo pants. They are comfortable but also so figure flattering to so many body types!
If you’re in Modish, stop in and say hi to Chloe. Also, feel free to wish her congratulations as she is getting married on June 16th! Thanks for everything you do, Chloe!
